ISCF is delighted to announce that they are have launched a National Standard for Self-Catering Accommodation in Ireland. Holiday Homes are the accommodation of choice in 2021, but “there needs to be an accepted national standard which properties need to reach, to keep customers in Ireland happy. When International Markets Return the requirement for an assessment system for the country to ensure properties meet the standards of guests is essential’ stated Máire ni Mhurchú Chairperson of the ISCF.
Property owners will need to join the Irish Self-Catering Federation on this link. Then sign up to the Code of Ethics and 3rd Party Quality Assurance Framework. When approved members can list properties on the Federation website LetsGoSelfCatering.ie . There is no commission for booking on this site which goes through to the owners booking calendar directly.
The Irish Self-Catering Federation has developed a 3rd Party Quality Assurance Framework which is recognised by Failte Ireland as a standard for Self-Catering in Ireland . The On-Line Self -Assessment form, one for individual members and one for Business Members.
By completing this, you will be agreeing to the ISCF Code of Ethics and legislative requirements and are committing to a consistent approach to quality for your properties. You as the member, will receive the ISCF Quality Mark which can be used on all of your properties. As part of our commitment to standards, the ISCF will carry out a visit to 20% of members annually.
f you are already part of the Failte Ireland Framework you do not need to be part of the ISCF Framework but you do have the choice to be part of either or both! In any event, if you as a member are not part of the Failte Ireland approval system for all properties in your portfolio, it is now a mandatory requirement of membership to complete this On-Line Self Assessment to be part of the ISCF Quality Assurance Framework.
