ISCF Chairperson, Peter Downey recently attended a Tourism Ireland Brexit meeting with different accommodation providers and boards. The purpose of these ongoing meetings is to be on top of any changes resulting from Brexit to help focus the marketing of tourism from UK and also attract tourists who would normally visit UK annually but this year because of currency fluctuation and uncertainty, are seeking alternative options.
Let us know how your self-catering business is being affected by Brexit and what points you would like ISCF to raise with Tourism Ireland on your behalf. It would be useful to share the following type of information;
• Change in inquiry trends
• Change in the number of bookings
• Origin of guests
• Are travel agents asking for discounts from providers?
